Owera Vineyards – Cazenovia NY Wedding- The Sautas!

On the rainiest day of the year, Dominique and John were married at Owera Vineyards in Cazenovia, New York.  It was absolutely gorgeous and unlike any other wedding I have ever photographed.  Although it rained. all. day., it did not put a damper on anyones good time.  In fact, we used the rain to produce one of my favorite images of the day.

Before I get to all of the photos, I would love to give a shout out to the vendors who made this day so beautiful!

First we start with the getting ready which took place at The Hampton Inn, Cazenvoia .  I knew that John had a special gift for Dominique to open before the wedding but I had no idea how touching it would be.  There was not a dry eye in the room when Dominique opened up a stuffed bear gift which featured an audio recording of her late father.  In fact, this was by far the most emotional wedding I have ever photographed.  The Best Man said it best when he proclaimed “Even the cake had tears today.”

Next we head over to an amazingly gorgeous wedding venue and a personal favorite restaurant of mine, Owera Vineyards.  The vintage Gatsby themed decor was absolutely amazing.  Even the guests dressed in roaring 20’s attire.  The floral arrangements were stunning!

Let’s not forget the cigar bar on site!

Awesome introductions and so much dancing. Followed by a sparkler exit!!  It was the perfect night for a couple who’s love will last a lifetime.  Congratulations to Dominique and John!

Syracuse baby photographer – Baby Paislee

I am a newborn photographer located in Central New York.  Please contact me for all newborn photography inquiries or questions. Sheena@TorrentPhotography.com

I wanted to share a few of my favorites images from Baby Paislee’s session.  This was so close to my heart as I had photographed her parents wedding and couldn’t wait to meet the newest member of their family.  She was a peanut even though she was a little bit older than the standard 2 weeks we normally book in.  Can you believe all of the smiles?

Syracuse Newborn Photographer – Baby Reagan

I am a newborn photographer based out of the Syracuse, New York area.  My studio is in Chittenango, where I photograph most of my newborn clients!  For booking information please contact Sheena@TorrentPhotography.com or call us anytime at 315-760-6044.

Baby Reagan  I love her little smile. The sibling pose is always my favorite.  It was adorable to see how much big brother Nolan loved his baby sister. Although Reagan wasn’t very sleepy, we still ended up getting a few images that her mom and dad loved!

Syracuse Newborn Photographer – Baby Elysia

Although I usually only blog weddings, I felt like sharing a highlight gallery from a recent newborn session.

Welcome baby Elysia!  She is my beautiful new niece!  We are so incredibly excited to add this perfect baby into our family.

Would you like to know more about newborn baby sessions? Here is a brief summary but please contact me for more information!
-They usually take place at my studio, in Chittenango, NY.   I keep tons of props, wraps, hats, headbands etc. at the studio and also keep it nice and warm to make babies comfortable.
-All newborn sessions include unlimited studio time to ensure we get images of the baby, and also leave time for family portraits, sibling groupings and parent/baby photos if you’d like to be in them (and you should!).  Sessions can take anywhere from 1-3 hours.
-You do not have to bring anything and once you arrive you do not have to do anything!  I will take care of the baby while you sit and relax with a cup of coffee or sparkling water, provided here at the studio.
-After I edit your images, you get a personal reveal session where you can select your images and see samples.
-I provide all new parents with a newborn prep guide so you know just what to expect on the day.  Email me at Sheena@TorrentPhotography.com for a copy or to book!

Amber & David – Green Lakes Wedding

Amber and David were married at Green Lakes.  It was the perfect fall day for a marriage to take place.  The colors were absolutely gorgeous as the leaves were in peek color season.  Davids children played a special role in the wedding ceremony as a family was brought together.  The family all chipped in to setup the beautiful decorations.  Enjoy a few photo highlights below!

Kelsey & Steve – 10.7.17 – Hotel Utica

Kelsey & Steve were married on 10.7.17 and the reception was held at the gorgeously renovated Hotel Utica.  Kelsey reached out to me when looking for a photographer and included “fun facts” in her email.  I knew I was going to love this wedding.

The day started out as my associate photographer, Jussara Potter, photographed the guys while I photographed the girls getting ready.  A highlight of the wedding day morning was meeting celebrity cat, Butters Peek!  Once everyone was ready, we started out for Saint Pauls Church.

The ceremony was amazing as all of Kelsey and Steve’s closest friends and family supported their marriage.  There were tears and laughter and in the end they were announced husband and wife.

The party headed over to Utica and Gerbers 1933 Tavern and took photos in and around there with the wedding party.  The location was beautiful for vintage type photos that really corresponded with their look and feel for the wedding day.  Next it was time to head over to Hotel Utica for the reception!  Kelsey and Steve absolutely rocked their first dance and the speeches were epic!!  Here is a highlight of photos from the day.

Jenny & Kory – 8.5.17 – 171 Genesee

Jenny & Kory were one of the first couples to get married in a beautiful new venue in Utica, 171 Genesee.  It was such a pleasure to document their amazing wedding day.  The day started out as Jenny and her best friends got ready in the bridal suite within the venue, while Kory and the guys got ready in a hotel right across the street.  Thank you to assistant photographer Adam Brockway for capturing the guys while I was with the girls!  The couples first look took place in the ceremony room which was gorgeously decorated by Jordan Marcel and her team.

The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, all guests looked on while Jenny and Kory exchanged vows.  For a moment, all eyes were on the hysterically funny flower girl/ring bearer (aka niece and nephew) as they sat down, stood up, and hung off of members of the wedding party.  Once Kory and Jenny were announced husband and wife, we transitioned to the next stage of the wedding – party time!

Everyone made their way upstairs to the decked out reception room.  Speeches, drinks and LOTS of dancing made for an awesome and super fun rest of the night.  A huge thank you to all of the fantastic vendors who made this a perfect wedding!  Congratulations to a spectacular couple, who I wish all the happiness in the world!

Katrina & Will – 7.29.17 – Greystone Castle

Katrina and Will were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Greystone Castle in Canastota, NY.  The castle is a gorgeous venue and the owner allowed us entry to the top of the tower which featured stunning stained glass windows and beautiful stonework.

Katrina and Will had the most beautiful vows where they retold the story of how they decided to be together after starting their relationship as co-workers, and turned into best friends.  Their friends and family gave toasts which were equal parts hilarious and sentimental and most touched on the fact that Kristina turned Will into a Harry Potter fan.  Some of our favorite details were the Harry Potter themed centerpieces, card owl cage and table numbers.

Fun was had by all and the dancing pictures are proof of it!  Many thanks to Adam Brockway for second shooting with me.  We would also like to give a shout out to the amazing vendors that made this day possible.

Marianne & Bryan 7.23.17 Traditions at the Links wedding

Marianne and Bryan were married in a beautiful, outdoor, Sunday ceremony at Traditions and the Links.  Marianne and the girls got ready at her best friends home while Bryan and the guys got ready at his house.  There was so much love in the air during this stunning ceremony that brought a family together in marriage.  One of my favorite moments of the entire wedding was when Marianne, Bryan and his 2 children all danced together with huge smiles on their faces, laughter, twirling and hugging.

Upon first meeting Bryan and Marianne, I knew their wedding reception was going to be amazingly fun.  They danced all night and partied it up with their friends, it did not disappoint.  We were able to sneak outside for a quick nighttime shot setup by me and my second shooter, Nicole of Nicole James Photography.

Thank you so much to all the vendors who made this day perfect:
